A vision statement gives your team and clients a vivid projected image of where you’d like to see your company headed. Vision statements convey your business aspirations but they also govern the organization’s strategic direction.

Vision statements are a living document that should be continuously reviewed and revised as your business grows.

Answer these questions to generate vision statement ideas:

  • Who does your organization serve?

  • What problem does your organization solve?

  • Where are your primary customers?

  • Why does this problem need to be addressed?

  • How does your organization aspire to serve its customers long-term?

  • Which words or phrases depict your organization’s future?

  • What specific and measurable goals can your organization realistically achieve in a specified timeframe?

  • What impact will your organization have when the vision is fulfilled?
